MACHINE OPERATOR III- PEELER - JOHNSTOWN, OH

Responsibilities

  • MUST be willing to work 4pm-4am Monday through Friday

  • Operate the peeler machine to cut material to the proper specification safely

  • Use standard operating procedures to perform all tasks in a safe and efficient manner

  • Cut work-in-process inventory (log material) to proper thickness

  • Monitor equipment for operational efficiency

  • Check, clean or change the cutting blade as necessary

  • May perform basic troubleshooting of the peeler machine

  • Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean working environment.

  • Inspect the cut product to ensure specifications are met

  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Working environment includes hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by moving mechanical parts, noise, and airborne particles

  • Prior experience in manufacturing setting preferred

  • Good oral and written communication effectively interact with other in immediate work unit and in related support areas

  • Have a good safety record, and follow safe work practices

  • Ability to communicate and write in English

  • Heavy lifting may be required

  • Must be able to push, pull, lift or bend

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
